Welcome to Vern Kummers Plumbing!
Plumbing Business is a 24-Hour a Day Family Affair
The Kummers Family may lock the doors of their plumbing business at night, but that doesn't mean their work day isn't finished. Kummers Plumbing is a fully insured, full service business offering everything from new fixtures & parts to plumbing work for new construction & remodeling.
Vern Kummers, a Green Bay native, began his plumbing career while he was in high school. Vern's first job was with Helgerson Plumbing. He stayed with the company for 20 years until the owner retired. Rather than going to another plumbing company Vern decided to start his own business. That was in 1976, Vern worked alone; from the garage of their home that Marlene and their five children shared on East Mason Street.
Vern said his plumbing business quickly out grew the garage and moved to 1016 Lime Kiln Road. Kummers Plumbing Co. expanded enough to move to it's present location at 1808 Allouez Ave.
"Our main advertising though is word of mouth, having satisfied customers." "For many years the public has been supporting our plumbing business." said Rick, adding "We expanded into water softeners because we want to give them something back, nice water." Vern say's "I thought we had enough work, but I guess the kids didn't agree." "I don't think they ever want me to retire." We really are busy, over the past years; I haven't noticed any slow down in the demand for plumbing work."

Tip of the Day
Don't run tap water for it to cool. Keep a bottle of drinking water in the refrigerator instead.
